Little slice of heaven tucked away in the bustling Christchurch CBD. On arrival, 4 smiling, happy, laughing staff members greeted me in the beautifully presented lobby. All welcoming me, and wishing me a happy birthday. My room was exceptional. I booked a 'Luxe Twin Room', on level 2. The presentation was lovely. Crisp, clean, spacious layout. The room smelt nice, fresh, often there are odd smells like chemicals or must in some rooms, this was perfect. Beautiful full length window overlooking the city. There's a television with multiple options, including casting from your phone, which I did with success. There's an 'Alexa' in the room, so in the morning, I listened to my favourite radio station while packing up. The shower has 2 options, standard, or cascade. The water pressure is perfect. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. I loved the light up mirror. There's also a full length mirror out near the kitchenette. The kitchenette had a little stove, fridge, sink and all utensils, crockery etc. a pod coffee machine and powdered beverage options eg hot chocolate. There was a HUGE dressing gown. The bed was super comfortable, and there were multiple pillow option's for individual comfort. Cinderella made it home just before midnight, but was a little peckish, so I ordered a vegetarian lasagna from the room service menu & it arrived 15-minutes later! It was absolutely delicious. The buffet breakfast is an additional $35, and is small, but absolutely delicious. The sweet pastries are the best I've ever had, and the hash brown sticks are delicious! Again, breakfast staff were incredibly friendly & helpful. I ordered an oat milk flat white, an additional cost, and this was made quickly & also yummy. You can pay to valet park your vehicle securely for $30. There's also a spa attached to the hotel, Moss Spa, it's absolutely stunning. It's such a relaxing vibe. I had a relaxation package with Jess.

This hotel is in a great location and is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend it! The room was equipped with a dishwasher, an iron, bathroom amenities, and dressing gowns. It was modern, well-presented, and very clean. I especially loved the Alexa clock beside the bed, which provided weather updates, allowed me to set alarms, and offered news updates. Movies were free to watch as well! The tea and coffee facilities were excellent, and the bathroom was spacious, clean, and modern. It was the first time I've stayed in a hotel that offered complimentary sanitary packs. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a selection of pillows available if needed. One of the best features for me was that there was no road noise, and the air conditioner was quiet—something that's quite rare! Having traveled to many hotels, this one is at the top of my list. The staff were exceptional, always friendly, and greeted everyone with a "hello." Altogether, it was a lovely stay!

We stayed at the Sudima at the beginning of our stay in Christchurch and then again at the end of our holiday and I was so happy to return. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was so comfortable. I could not fault a thing. The kitchenette was very well equipped and the staff were more than happy to supply us with a toaster, plus some cooking utensils. It is nice and central and about a 10-15 minute easy walk to the riverside restaurants and centre of the city. Parking is available on site if you require (at approximately $30 per day) or you can park in the street. You will need to pre-book valet parking if required. There is also a guest laundry on the 4th floor which is always a great bonus while travelling. Great place to stay.

Location was great, hotel was very comfortable but the thing which really made the hotel such a wonderful experience was the staff. Everyone was so friendly & obliging, particularly when I thought I'd left my passport behind at our last stop (also a Sudima hotel) the staff member who was on night duty couldn't have been more helpful. Unfortunately I don't know his name. Special mention to Sam who went over and above, he helped us with directions , even walking a couple of minutes with us to make sure we were on the right route & also taking us to the nearby gym rather than just giving verbal directions. Can't remember receiving such great service for a very long time. Thank you, we will be coming back.

Hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Wifi was reliable. Location was about 15 mins walk to the city centre. Parking was available - at a daily cost. The room and bathroom were a bit smaller than the Sudima in Kaukoura which we'd stayed in before. Same issue with the hairdryer - the wiggly lead meant it was hard to reach your head! We didn't like the location of our room which looked out over an atrium outside the restaurant. Not an issue with noise but you had to keep the curtains closed for privacy and you couldn't see what the weather was like before going outside the hotel. We didn't try the restaurant for breakfast or dinner. We felt the hotel was expensive.
